Hello all! Race and Jess here - the founders of Outlive Creative. We wanted to kick off our official introduction by sharing a trip we took this summer to Hawaii. Before Outlive was fully formed, we went on a short vacation to visit Jess' parents in Oahu. But before we get into that, here is a quick recap on our story...

HOW WE MET

Our story doesn't start in Hawaii, but in Portland, Oregon. Jess was doing some fill in work for a Portland wedding videography company, Moving Picture Weddings. The guys who work for the company are authentic and natural artisans. Race is one of the contract wedding videographers for Moving Pictures, and it was here that he and Jess met. Over time, Race and Jess became friends, shared an aptitude for the same interests, and concluded that they really liked one another. Since that realization, Race and Jess have shared in everything.

RESET

Hawaii was a much needed 'Reset' for us. When you love what you do it's easy to get lost in your work. For us that meant it never ended, and this became difficult to take a breather. Visiting the island helped us step back to remember the reason why we love what we do - to explore and capture relationship, new experiences, and adventures.

Trekking through the jungles, climbing up waterfalls, sharing good company, and taking photographs helped us to take that much-needed breather. Despite the sunburns, humid weather and pink eye, our trip to the island was an unrivaled reset for us. Now we take our first steps into opening the doors of our innovation, producing content that will display our world and experiences in a manner that will be nothing less of spectacular.
