Castaway Wedding | Portland Wedding Photographer & Videographer

Castaway Wedding

Sarah and Chuck were possibly the most organized couple we’ve ever worked with. They inquired with us to shoot their Castaway Wedding about 2 years in advance. When we met with Sarah and Chuck we knew we were going to be a good fit for each other. They are both super kind, humble, fun, and easy going. They are dream clients. Any wedding photographer and wedding videographer would be so so blessed to share in a personal and professional relationship with these two wonderful human beings. Race and I don't take our experience with Sarah and Chuck lightly. The more someone invests in us, the more we invest in them which makes the whole experience so much better. Sarah and Chuck trusted us 110% through the whole process.

They made an effort to take advantage of our engagement session which helps on the wedding day. We chose the Gorge for their engagement session. It was pouring extremely hard east and west of Government Cove. God blessed us and kept the island dry for the duration of our shoot. It was pretty amazing. Castaway Portland Wedding

Sarah got ready at a cute, natural light filled Airbnb in NW Portland. Chuck got ready at their rooftop clubhouse located in their apartment building. They both knew how important it was that we shoot in natural light so they were very conscious of choosing their prep locations which made our jobs that much easier. After preps were finished we left for the Lewis & Clark Memorial Column located in Washington Park for Sarah and Chuck’s first look. From there we went to Castaway, which is one of our favorite Portland wedding venues for ceremony and reception. We were able to take the couple out for beautiful golden hour portraits.

Because of our involved relationship, trust, and mutual respect and appreciation for one another...the wedding day flowed seamlessly. Good people attract other good people which was definitely the case for this wedding. The event was friend and family oriented. Sarah and Chuck chose the Portland Wedding Venue Castaway because it accommodated all of their guests comfortably and it was a blank slate which is always nice to work with. Their decor was simple, romantic and timeless which I always refer to our brides. The industrial yet elegant style complimented Castaway.
